The Alliance Marketing MCP
Connect Claude to an expert-backed product marketing advisor: The Alliance's curated PMA article library and 1,000s of hours of expert footage, plus nine structured strategy tools.
Currently tested with Claude only. This server has been verified against Claude.ai. Other MCP clients may work, but aren't officially supported yet.
What it gives Claude
A single mentor tool that asks clarifying questions, then researches before answering.
Semantic search over members-only PMA articles and expert videos, with deep-linked timestamps.
Nine scored, structured tools that generate ready-to-use marketing deliverables.
Your Client credentials
These keys let Claude (or any MCP client) authenticate to the Alliance on your behalf.
Public identifier for your Alliance account. Safe to share with services connecting on your behalf, like Claude.
Treat this like a password. Your dashboard shows it once: copy it and store it somewhere safe.
- 1 Log in to your Alliance account
- 2 Navigate to Account Dashboard → MCP Server
- 3 Copy your Client ID and Client Secret
- 4 Paste them when connecting Claude below
For your security, your Client Secret is only shown once at generation. If you think it's been exposed, regenerate a new one from the same dashboard page.
How to log in
Two ways to wire your Alliance account into Claude as a custom connector.
Client credentials
In the Claude desktop app or claude.ai, click your avatar in the bottom-left and choose Settings, then open the Connectors tab in the left menu.
Click Add custom connector at the top right. Custom MCP connectors require a Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan.
Name it The Alliance Marketing MCP and use the server URL below.
https://mcp-server.pmmalliance.com/mcp
When Claude prompts for credentials, paste the Client ID and Client Secret you generated above (see Get your credentials), then approve the requested scopes.
Ask Claude things like "what's the best way to position a new pricing tier" or "search the PMA corpus for win/loss analysis": it fetches straight from your Alliance workspace.
Gmail login
Paid members onlySkip manual credentials entirely by signing in with Google. Available exclusively for paid members.
Go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, same as Option 1.
Use the same server URL from Option 1, step 3. Leave the Client ID and Client Secret fields blank.
Click Connect, then choose Log in with Google and sign in with the account tied to your paid membership.
Install the skill
The skill is what makes Claude pick the right tool, in the right voice, automatically. Without it, you'll need to toggle the connector and name a tool yourself each time. With it, Claude activates on product marketing questions and follows the correct sequencing and response formatting on its own.
Ready to upload, no setup required
Use the button above. No need to unzip it.
Go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, then select the file you downloaded.
Toggle the skill ON for the project or conversation where you use the connector.
Ask something like "review our homepage positioning for enterprise buyers" and confirm Claude calls the right tool without narrating it out loud.
Entry point
Start here for any general product marketing question. Claude calls this automatically, you don't need to name it.
Call this first for any product marketing question. Step 1 (question only) returns clarifying questions to gather context. Step 2 (question + context) runs expert video searches internally and returns synthesis-ready results, citing speakers by name, title, and company.
Returns a description of the server and its developer. Only called when you explicitly ask who built it.
Knowledge layer
Enrich AI responses for PMM-related queries through The Alliance's PMA article corpus and expert video library.
Unified access to PMA content. One tool, six actions:

Strategy layer
Nine scored, structured tools that produce ready-to-use deliverables.
These only run when you name them explicitly, by tool name or by naming the deliverable
(e.g. "build me a GACCS plan"). They won't fire for general questions; that's what
pmm_mentor is for.
Prioritized channel mix with budget allocation and tactics, based on your goal, budget, ICP, and company stage.
6-dimension scored audit of homepage copy: problem-first messaging, clarity, differentiation, social proof, CTA alignment, audience specificity, with rewrite recommendations.
Differentiation angles, messaging claims, and evidence gaps versus named competitors.
Full GACCS campaign plan (Goal, Audience, Channel, Content, Success) with a weekly timeline.
Scores and tiers customer segments using:

Perception-gap analysis between current and desired market positioning across 5 dimensions, with A/B test suggestions.

Newsletter content strategy: positioning, issue structure, subject line formulas, content calendar ideas, and growth plan.
8 production-ready documents, pre-filled with context you provide:
Sample prompts
Just ask naturally. You don't need to name a tool unless you want a specific deliverable.
FAQ
Only Claude.ai has been tested against this server so far. It may work with other MCP-compatible clients, but that isn't verified yet.
Client credentials work for any Alliance account and use the Client ID/Secret from your dashboard. Gmail login skips manual credentials entirely, but is available exclusively for paid members.
Double-check you copied both values in full with no extra spaces. If it still fails, generate a fresh Client Secret from Account Dashboard → MCP Server and reconnect.
No. Strategy tools (channel_strategy, GACCS, templates, etc.) only fire when you name them or the deliverable explicitly. General questions are handled by pmm_mentor.
